Hamusit gets new safe water facility

Gondar, January 18, 2012 (Gondar) - A safe water facility constructed in Hamusit Town, North Gonder Zone of Amhara State at a cost of over 15 million Birr was inaugurated last Sunday, the state water resource bureau said.

Bureau Head, Getachew Jember on the occasion said the facility includes digging of a water well and installation of a 22-km water pipelines.

The facility will benefit close to 10,000 people living in the town, the head said.

State Chief, Ayalew Gobeze on his part stressed the need for appropriate utilization of the facility.

EPRDF Honorable Member, Addisu Legesse on the occasion urged the residents to join hands in the ongoing efforts to reduce poverty as they did during the struggle against the dectatorial Derg Regime.
