In January 2025, a total of 34,157 movements were observed across the six flow monitoring points (FMPs) in Ethiopia. This represents a 1.9% decrease in daily average movements in comparison with December 2024 when an average of 1,123 movements per day were observed.
The ratio between outgoing movements (76.8% or 26,242 individuals) during January and incoming movements (23.2% or 7,915 individuals) shows a higher share of outgoing movements compared to incoming. Historically, recorded outflows have been higher than inflows.
