Key Issues

• The Ministry of Water and WaSH partners are closely monitoring the impact of the seasonal rains on availability of water and pasture.

• Severe resource shortfalls reported for the first four rounds of relief food.

• US$38 million are required to target 40 million children under-15 during the October 2015 measles Supplementary Immunization Activity (SIA).

• An additional $4.6 million is required to procure ready to use therapeutic food to address nutritional needs of some 264,500 severely malnourished children under-5. Resource mobilization activities are on-going
