During the month of May, UNHCR, together with its partners, has been deeply concerned about the plight of Sudanese refugees and asylum seekers staying in the Amhara region. Ethiopia remains one of the most underfunded operations globally, and the interagency humanitarian response to the influx of refugees from Sudan is currently funded at only 11 percent of its overall needs.
