Background
Collective Platform for Community Voices is an inter-agency tool to systematically track community feedback and complaints in humanitarian action to better respond to the needs and priorities suggested by crisis affected people across Ethiopia in nearly real-time manner. This tool, designed and coordinated by the Inter-Agency Accountability Working Group - Ethiopia (IAAWG-E), aims to put affected people at the centre of response operations and to improve system-wide accountability in the country. In undertaking this collectivised effort, the IAAWG-E works with various aid organisations including UN, INGOs, NNGOs, CSOs, Government, Clusters/Sectors and other networks at all levels (national, regional, zone, woreda) to collate, analyse community feedback data (following data protection policies in place) and provide key recommended actions for relevant stakeholders and decision makers in respective regions. This tool will primarily target senior leaders, clusters and aid organisations to advocate for corrective measures periodically, as well as community members to inform them on actions made on their feedback. The existing complaints and feedback mechanism committee and community representatives will support the collection and dissemination of information, feedback findings and responses as well as agreed actions with community members taking into consideration age, gender and other diversities and/or vulnerabilities.
