In June, the Logistics Cluster coordinated seven convoys, comprising two from Addis Ababa to the Amhara Region and five within Amhara, reaching ten hard-to-reach destinations. The convoys involved 16 trucks and vehicles, ten Logistics Cluster trucks and six partner-owned trucks and vehicles, transporting approximately 740 m³ of relief cargo supporting Education, Health, Shelter and WASH Clusters. Ten partners participated in the coordinated transport and convoy management efforts. Additionally, the Cluster provided storage services, receiving 331 m³ of humanitarian supplies on behalf of three partners at its strategically positioned logistics hubs across the Amhara and Oromia regions, enhancing storage capacity and operational efficiency. This gives a cumulative figure of 1,547 m3 over the past six months for storage in five hubs.
Access constraints, road closures, and prolonged movement restrictions along key corridors, including the Gondar–Genda Wuha–Metema route, continue significantly disrupting humanitarian operations across Amhara Region. Despite challenges, the Logistics Cluster maintains efforts to facilitate deliveries, prioritizing safety and security.
