- The death toll continues to rise following landslides across several parts of the Gamo Zone in the Southern Ethiopia Regional State.
- According to media reports, 125 people have died and more than 11 000 have been displaced. Numerous houses, farmlands and infrastructure have been destroyed, particularly by the landslides. The worst‑hit localities are Gacho Baba, Bonke, Kamba Zuria, and West Abaya.
- For the next 24 hours, cloudy skies with light to moderate rain are expected across the affected area.
