Throughout 2024, there were consistent reports of a growing number of incidents of various forms of gender-based violence (GBV) and conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), especially in conflict-affected areas. Severe gaps in GBV protection services were identified, including limited-service availability, access, data and information management challenges, and breakdown of social, community and institutional support, including protection mechanisms.
