ALLOCATION OVERVIEW
In 2022, the Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund (EHF) allocated a total of US$62.5 million, of which US$ 17.5 million allocated under the first reserve allocation, supporting 26 multi-sectoral projects. The allocation aimed at scaling up critical life-saving responses in drought affected areas in Oromia, SNNP and Somali regions. US$ 15 million was channeled to pre-identified NGO partners to deliver critical life-saving services in agricul- ture (livestock), ES/NFI, health and WASH sectors. US$ 2.5 million was channeled to a running SWAN consortia rapid response mechanism to enable continuation of short-term critical life-saving emergency responses across the country in coordination with the relevant clusters.
A reserve allocation of $5 million was launched in May, to support the urgent need to initiate the construction of IDP relocation sites in Amhara Region following massive displacments for CCCM, ES/NFI and WASH response to pre-identified partners, supporting nine projects.
The EHF is currently processing the first standard allocation for US$ 40 million to respond to humanitarian situation in conflict and drought affected areas (not included in this dash- board).
Based on available funding, the EHF is also planning for a third round reserve allocation before the end of the year.
