HIGHLIGHTS

  • During the period under review, 360K people were reached, bringing the cumulative number of people reached were 700,000, throughout 225 of 1,150 woredas in 62 zones. This encompasses 60K internally displaced individuals (IDPs), 16K returning IDPs, 277K non-IDPs, and 6,185 returning migrants, all of whom used response supported by 34 Health Cluster partners across the country.
  • Health Cluster partners supported 234 active mobile health and nutrition teams, enabling them to successfully deliver essential primary health services, consultations, and treatments, reaching 282K individuals across the affected areas in the country.
  • In this period under review, Ethiopia reported 213 measles cases and zero deaths, with a case fatality rate (CFR) of 0.46%.
  • As of February 2025, the country has reported a total of 909,146 malaria cases and 34 deaths.
  • Vaccination campaigns have made significant strides. 11,000 children have been vaccinated against measles.
  • WHO has provided 33.09 MT emergency medical kits to various health facilities as well as 221 MHTs across the country.
  • As of February 2025, the health cluster has received only $56.54M of the $187.34M needed to reach the health target leaving a funding gap of 130.80M (69.8% funding gap).
