Food Aid Dispatches Continue to Reach Somali Region

DPPA has allocated 27, 475 quintals of food aid in the second round of allocation for the 3rd month and has so far dispatched 16, 113.43 quintals of this amount to assist the needy in Somali Region.

According to a report from DPPA's Logistics Administration and Transport Coordination Department, out of a total allocation of 9,826 quintals of food for Fik, 7,243.71 quintals has already been sent to the zone; and out of 13,362 for Korahe, 6,928.85 has been sent and out of 4,087 for Gode, 1,940.87 has already been sent. The dispatches to the zones consist of grain, CSB, pulses and vegetable oil.

It is to be recalled that for the first round of allocation for two months, out of a total allocation of 232,582 quintals of food aid 187,582.16 quintals had been dispatched for emergency relief in the region.
