DISPLACEMENT
Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Round 1, carried out between September and October, had identified 167,688 persons (30,676 households) who have been displaced in 2016 and remain in situation of displacement in 135 sites across 6 regions (Afar, Gambela, Harari, Oromia, Somali, and Tigray). Of these 33% were as the result of communal conflict, 23% from drought and 44% due to flooding. The majority of displaced population were in Somali, Gambela and Afar regions.
DISTRIBUTION
By the 31st of December, the cluster had reached some 341,836 people (62,152 households) with emergency shelter material or household non‐food items such as kitchen set and beddings. Of those assisted, 38% were displaced by conflict, 37% percent by flood, 3% by drought and 1% by fire. However 21% had unspecified causes of displacement
FUNDING
The Cluster is currently 52% funded, having received $12.7 million of the $24.4 requested in the revised
STOCK & PIPELINE
The cluster has 19,647 emergency shelter and household NFI kits in country, with an additional 24,950 kits being procured. Based on existing capacity and the expected increase In need to respond to on‐going displacements, coupled with known supplies currently under procurement, the cluster is expected to reach about 72% of those targeted in the 2016 HRD.
