Debrebirhan, December 24, 2011 (Debrebirhan) - Activities are underway to increase safe water service coverage to 100 per cent in Debreberhan Town of Amhara State at a cost of 5.7 million Birr during the current Ethiopian fiscal year, the town administration office said.
Office Manager, Abey Sisay told ENA on Friday that currently the coverage stands at 95 percent.
Installation , upgrading and maintenance of over 8.1-km water pipelines is underway as part of the activities to increase the coverage, he said.
Abey said the office also plans to expand clean water supply to some rural parts of the town.
