Jimma, January 14, 2012 (Jimma) - Eight of the 16 health stations being constructed in Jimma Zone, Oromia State with 27.5 million Birr have gone operational, the zonal health office said.
Office deputy head, Abera Assefa told ENA on Saturday that the facilities have already begun providing services to more than 115,000 people.
Upon going fully operational zonal health service coverage will grow to 82 per cent from 68 per cent, he said.
The fund for construction of the facilities was secured from the federal and regional governments, NGOs and the public, Abera said.
