Bahir Dar, December 31, 2011 (Bahir Dar) - More than 780,200 mothers have benefited from family planning service in Amhara State during the first quarter of the current Ethiopian budget year, the regional health bureau said.
Bureau Public relations head, Getachew Tiruneh told ENA that the bureau targeted to reached out over 3.5 million mothers in this budget year.
He said encouraging results are being registered in enabling expectant mothers get access to health service and also immunizing children against different diseases.
The head said 22 per cent of the plan has been achieved over the first quarter of the budget year alone.
