Asmara, 5 June 2008 - The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Woldemichael Abraha, said that Eritrea is standing on reliable ground as a result of the vigorous efforts the people and Government are exerting towards achieving food security. He made the statement in a seminar he conducted to Eritrean citizens living in Cologne, Germany.
Mr. Woldemichael indicated that despite the fact that the price of oil and food is soaring at the global level, giving rise to a negative impact on the people, Eritrea is marching towards prosperity thanks to the Government's endeavors to put in place infrastructure facilities and implement major development programs.
Noting that the Eritrean people have managed to overcome all types of challenges and obstacles through firm unity and resistance, the Minister emphasized that such unparalleled values of dedication and steadfastness constitute the nation's rich resources. In this regard, Mr. Woldemichael called on the participants of the seminar to strengthen their ranks and further reinforce these cherished values.
Similar seminars were also conducted in the German cities of Kassel and Frankfurt, according to reports.
