Mai-Mine, 3 January 2010 - The inhabitants of Ser'a administrative area, Mai-Mine sub-zone, have now access to reliable potable water supply thanks to the implementation of a project at a cost of over 2 million Nakfa. Previously, the local inhabitants were compelled to travel for over 4 hours to fetch water that was not up to standard.
The inhabitants stated that they used to suffer from various diseases as the available water resource was not clean. However, the latest project would not only make major contribution in providing clean water but also in promoting public health, they added.
The potable water supply project involving two water distribution stations would provide reliable clean water to the inhabitants of Ser'a, Adi-Godo and Adi-Zib'a, according to Mr. Gebrekidan Debas, head of projects in the sub-zone.
