Efforts undertaken to alleviate potable water supply problems in H'ret

Adi Keih, April 11, 2011- Efforts are underway to alleviate shortage of potable water supply in H’ret, Adi-Keih sub-zone, according to Mr. Estifanos Tekeste, head of technical supervision. He explained that a water reservoir is under construction in Kontetefe through the joint effort of the Southern regional Administration and the Department of Water Resources, as well as partners. The technical supervision head also explained that three-fourth of the project has already been finalized, and that six water depots have been put in place. The project is expected to alleviate potable water shortage in the villages of Kontetefe, H’ret, Einto, Kedena-Graret, Aroma, Mai-Tsaeda and Afeleta. Hret is located 15 Km. west of Adi-Keih.
