Operation USA responds to El Salvador Earthquake

Operation USA is responding to the needs of the victims of Saturday's 7.6 magnitude earthquake in El Salvador. The current death toll has risen to 600, with 1,830 people injured and thousands are still missing.
The airport in San Salvador was heavily damaged; several hospitals have been evacuated due to structural damage; over 34,000 homes were damaged or destroyed; and reports of both numbers of victims and their immediate needs are still being collected.

Richard Walden, President of Operation USA, urges concerned people not to overreact to news reports and collect inappropriate items from their kitchens, closets and medicine chests.

While information as to specific needs is still being gathered, you can help by contributing to Operation USA's "El Salvador Earthquake Fund".

We will post lists of specific items for bulk donations by corporations and medical facilities as we receive them.

We encourage you to support these efforts by making a credit card donation on this secure server or by calling us at 1-800 678 7255 or mailing check or cash to Operation USA, 8320 Melrose Avenue, #200, Los Angeles 90069.
