Education sector partners continued the registration process for the education grants where 3,165 applicants (1,652 males and 1,513 females) were registered with a total number of 7,410 students (3,942 males and 3,468 females), in addition to 51 UASC (32 females and 19 males). The education grant was disbursed to 3,405 students (1,720 females and 1,685 males) allowing them to be enrolled for the 2017/2018 session. Approximately 336 students (151 females and 185 males) were identified as being at risk of dropping out of education. Based on the level of identified risk, the students were provided with the required support, including financial assistance. During July, 1,647 inquiries from refugee families were dealt. The majority of inquiries (612) were from newcomers asking on school enrolment process and how to apply for the education grants. UNHCR and 3RP partners continued their advocacy efforts with Ministry of Education officials with meetings being conducted both at local and central levels in order to deal with challenges facing refugee families wishing to enrol their children in public schools for the coming 2017/2018 academic year. 184 Syrian refugee youth (93 Female & 91 male) recieved financial support to continue their higher education in various Egyptian Universities and higher education institutions.
