- Heavy rainfall has been affecting central Ecuador, in particular the Tungurahua province over the last days, causing floods and a number of severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in casualties and damage.
- The Ecuadorian Government reports, as of 26 June, 14 fatalities, 27 injured people, more than 1,100 affected people, 24 destroyed houses, 18 damaged houses and two damaged bridges across the Baños de Agua Santa Canton, southern Tungurahua province.
- Over the next 48 hours, more heavy rainfall is still forecast over central Ecuador.
