Routes-based approach
Denmark is engaged in dialogue with UNHCR and EU Member States on equitable responsibility-sharing for refugee protection and to address mixed and onward movements. Denmark hosted a High-Level Migration Conference in May with a wide range of governments and other stakeholders.
New Africa Strategy
In August, Denmark launched a new Africa strategy aimed at strengthening political exchange and dialogue with Tunisia, Rwanda and Senegal, and addressing irregular migration and refugee flows. Denmark will launch three new multi-year migration programmes with funding over DKK 1 billion, with the majority of activities implemented in Africa.
