Program & Context Overview

In DRC, IOM together with AIDES implement Site Management (SM) programming in 68 IDP sites in North Kivu, Ituri and Tanganyika provinces, reaching approximately 155,800 people (56% female / 43% male). Of those people reached, 109,466 IDPs are residing in sites in Ituri, 26,728 IDPs in Tanganyika, and 19,606 IDPs in North Kivu.

Launched in September 2023 with support from ECHO & USAID, the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Program covers all IOM and AIDES managed sites with 57 dedicated Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) staff receiving feedback. The CFM is intended to provide a systematic and streamlined approach to managing feedback and referrals, helping CCCM teams and actors understand community needs, especially during the scale up of DRC’s Humanitarian response. Ongoing and escalating conflicts, rising human rights violations, increasing multisector needs, and steady flows of displaced persons have also shaped the trends in feedback, referrals, and response rate and time from service providers.
