Highlights
· As of 2 June 9,923 newly arrived Burundian refugees are currently residing in South Kivu in DRC following political unrest in Burundi since the end of April.
· The majority of the refugees are women (56%) and children (58%) from rural areas.
· WFP has been swift to act and at the moment it is the only agency providing food assistance.
