United Nations officials will travel to North Korea next month in what they say is a bid to avoid famine and mass starvation in the country.
World Food Program representatives will meet government officials and visit regions affected by floods last March to assess the country's food needs.
The W-F-P, which recently launched a 41.6 million dollar emergency food aid appeal, says some areas affected by flooding will run out of food by April or May.
