A Hidden Crisis

People in DPR Korea are facing acute humanitarian challenges. Without urgent funding, millions will not get the support they desperately need.

With the world focused on geopolitical tensions, the humanitarian plight faced by ordinary people in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) is largely forgotten. Yet in a country of 25 million people, more than 40 per cent of the population are believed to need humanitarian assistance. To address the humanitarian needs in DPRK, the humanitarian community is urgently requesting $111 million to provide life saving support to six million people throughout 2018.
