Russian Emergency Ministry finishes delivery of relief supplies to Cuba

The Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has completed delivering humanitarian aid to Cuba.

A ship delivered the third cargo of relief supplies to the port of Mariel Artemisa province of Cuba on the night of 1 December. There is some 200 tons of construction materials, mobile power stations and food from Rosrezerv (the Federal State Reserves Agency). Two more cargoes of more than 900 tons of relief supplies were delivered to Cuba earlier in the month.

Almost entire northern coast of Cuba was hit in early September by hurricane Irma which left dozens killed and seriously damaged Cuba’s economy. Following the request from the country, the Russian Government ordered delivery of humanitarian supplies to the affected population.
