Croatia - Floods (Croatian Civil Protection, Local Media)
■Floods due to the overflow of the Sava and Una rivers have been affecting south-central and south-eastern Croatia in the last couple of days.
■As of 18 May, according to the Croatian Civil Protection authorities, the situation in the county of Vukovar-Syrmia was difficult, with evacuations taking place in several villages. In Pozega-Slavonia, Brod-Posavina and Sisak-Moslavina counties, the situation was under control and slightly improving. Media report one death and two people missing in the village of Rajevo in Vukovar-Syrmia, as well as approx. 15 000 evacuees in total in the affected areas.
■During 19 May, Sava and Una levels were expected to stabilise or slightly decline along most of their course. Flood protection measures continue to be enforced.
