1. Who are we?
In line with the Strategy 2020, the secretariat of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has established a country office to support and provide services to the Costa Rican Red Cross seeking the continuous modernization and improvement of service delivery in response to the National challenges and trends. The Binational office based in Costa Rica responds to the goal of being closer to the National Society daily actions and needs; the Americas Zone office has placed a coordinator based in San Jose within the premises of the National Society with the aims of assist in integrated actions to achieve greater impact on the needs and capacities of the Costa Rican Red Cross.
