This revised Emergency Appeal seeks a total of 1,127,952 Swiss francs (decreased from 1,523,001 Swiss francs) to enable the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to support the Costa Rican Red Cross (CRRC) to deliver assistance and support to 24,000 people for 9 months, with a focus on the following areas of focus and strategies of implementation: livelihoods and basic needs (including multi-purpose/unconditional cash transfer programming [CTP]); health; water, sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH); restoring family links (RFL), disaster risk reduction (DRR) and National Society capacity building. This revised appeal results in a funding gap of 0 Swiss francs. The planned response reflects the current situation and information available at this time of the evolving operation, and it will be adjusted based on further developments and more detailed assessments.
