WFP Pacific 2022 Annual Country Report Summary

Attachments

In 2022, WFP continued to support national governments and communities in 15 Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICT) by strengthening regional coordination and national emergency preparedness and response capacities, while enhancing the collection and analysis of food security and nutrition data to inform the design of inclusive policies and social protection interventions.

WFP contributed to Pacific-led emergency responses, including through support to national COVID-19 preparedness and response efforts to natural hazards in Tonga and Kiribati. To streamline information sharing, assess needs and deploy the appropriate responses, WFP facilitated coordination among partners and provided technical assistance through regional logistics, emergency telecommunications and food security clusters and the Pacific regional cash working group.
