On 26 March 2019, the Colombia National Disaster Risk Management Unit (UNGRD), reported recent heavy rain affected several communities in Vichada Department. Media reported, elsewhere, 7,000 indigenous people were affected due to landslides and several communities were left isolated in the town of San Antonio del Chami, Risaralda Department. Furthermore, in the town of Guacaica, Neira Municipality, Caldas Department, landslides occurred this morning, where five people were injured and three deaths were reported.
