Heavy rainfall in recent days has led to river overflows and landslides, impacting Medellín and its neighbouring city of Bello, Antioquia Department, northwest Colombia, and resulting in death and damage.
As of 27 June, media reports indicate 16 fatalities, at least eight individuals reported missing, and 23 rescued individuals. Approximately 1,000 people have been displaced and are currently in shelters following a landslide that struck Bello early on 25 June. Over the next 24 hours, more moderate rain is forecast across the country.
