Colombia - Landslide (NOAA-CPC, media) (ECHO Daily Flash of 17 June 2025)

  • On 12-13 June, heavy rains triggered landslides in the northeast of Medellín, western Colombia, resulting in fatalities and damage.
  • According to media and as of 13 June, two people died due to the collapse of a building caused by a landslide, two people were rescued, and another four people were injured. Five buildings were temporarily evacuated.
  • Over the next 48 hours, more rain with isolated very heavy rain is forecast across Colombia, including the already affected Medellín.
