Golden Figures, describes the humanitarian situation in Colombia, through the trends analysis, department maps, key figures and messages The analysis period is from November of 2012 to March of 2014, a period that coincides with the Havana peace talks. The sources of the information is from official data, monitoring, contributions from OCHA and other partners.
Key issues during this period:
· Displacement: More than 200,000 people displaced
· Acciones bélicas: there were more than one thousand armed confrontations
· Attacks against infrastructure and civilian goods: impacted 25 of 32 departments
· Confinement: approximately 270,000 people were confined
· Explosive Remnants of War: 481 APM - UXO victims
· Homicides: more than 15,000 homicides
· Disappearances: more than 4,000 people disappeared each year
· Massacres: 24 massacres with 104 victims
· Kidnapping: 351 Kidnapping in 29 of 32 departments
· Extortion: 264 extortion reported each month
· Crimes against sexual integrity and freedom: 230 people registred in the victim’s registry alleging that they were victims of crimes against the sexual freedom and integrity due to the armed conflict
