In the second quarter of 2014, an extended dry season continued to affect several areas of Colombia. The lack of precipitation has led to drought, water shortages, forest fires and access constraints due to low river levels, with a significant rainfall deficit in the Andean, Caribbean and northern Pacific regions, causing humanitarian impact.
