Operation Mercy working in China

Operation Mercy has carried out a needs assessment as we have met with local officials in China. We are now looking at giving assistance for a rebuilding programme in the Bachu / Maralbishi county, related to health care and education.
The plan is to have 3 primary schools plus 1 clinic built in the Qongkurgak township as recommended by the governor.

Basing our assessment on the fact that each primary school has 8 classrooms with an average of 40 to 50 children per classroom, each school can cater for around 400 children. The children range from 6 to 12 years in age.
