- A wildfire has been burning in Yajiang district, in western Sichuan province in southwestern China since 9 December, prompting evacuations and causing damage. According to the JRC Global Wildfire Information System (GWIS), the wildfires have burnt an area of 364 ha.
- As of 10 December, media reported at least 140 evacuated people in a village in Yajiang county, and national authorities deployed more than 300 rescue personnel.
