  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting southern China, particularly the Yunnan province over the last 48 hours, triggering a landslide that has resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of 2 July, three fatalities and two injured in the area of Luobu town, Weixin county, northeastern Yunnan province due to a landslide occurred on 1 July in the morning (UTC).
  • Over the next 96 hours, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), more heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is still forecasted over most of the Yunnan province.
