Heavy rainfall has been affecting southern China, particularly the Yunnan province over the last 48 hours, triggering a landslide that has resulted in casualties and damage.
Media report, as of 2 July, three fatalities and two injured in the area of Luobu town, Weixin county, northeastern Yunnan province due to a landslide occurred on 1 July in the morning (UTC).
Over the next 96 hours, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), more heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is still forecasted over most of the Yunnan province.
