  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting western Chinaparticularly the Xizang autonomous region) over the past few days, triggering a landslide that has resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of 4 June, three fatalities, seven still missing people and three injured people due to a huge landslide that occurred in the area of the Muta village, near the Qamdo city, Dengqen county, Xizang autonomous region.
  • Over the next 96 hours, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), more rainfall is still forecast over parts of the Xizang autonomous region.
