  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting central-western and north-western China, particularly the Qinghai province over the last 48 hours, triggering a landslide that has resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of September, three fatalities and one injured person in the area of the Minhe Hui and Tu autonomous county, far eastern Qinghai province due to a landslide occurred on the morning (UTC) of 4 September.
  • Over the next 24 hours, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), more heavy rainfall is still forecast over most of central-western China, including parts of the already affected Qinghai province.
