Heavy rainfall has been affecting southern China, particularly the Guizhou province since 27 June, causing floods that have resulted in casualties and widespread damage.
Media report, as of 30 June, six fatalities across the Rongjiang county, south-eastern Guizhou province. In addition, media also report more than 41,500 evacuated people in the mentioned Rongjiang county, and approximately 32,000 evacuated people across the neighbouring Congjiang county.
Over the next 72 hours, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), more heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is still forecast over most of the already affected Guizhou province.
