On 24 June, heavy rainfall affected Jingyuan county, in the south-eastern Gansu province in central-northern China, resulting in casualties and damage.
According to media reports, as of 25 June, five people are missing and several people have been evacuated in Xinquan village of the Jingyuan county.
Local authorities deployed 400 people for search and rescue operations, that are still ongoing.
Over the next 48 hours, drier conditions are expected over western and northern China.
