Chile is a destination country for people who have experienced forced displacement. While the majority are of Venezuelan, Colombian, and Haitian nationality, there is an increase in the arrival of people from other nationalities, such as Ecuador. UNHCR is supporting the Chilean State to protect, assist, and empower refugees, asylum seekers, stateless persons, and others people in need of international protection, enabling them to access sustainable solutions and livelihoods. This, in turn, aims to provide tools for effective integration into their communities, enhancing their role as active agents in the country's development.
