This situational report provides a comprehensive overview of the activities carried out by R4V partners in Chile monthly. It highlights key initiatives, interventions, and outcomes aimed at addressing the needs of refugees and migrants, with a focus on sectors such as food security, integration, protection, health, shelter, among others. The report also reflects collaboration efforts among partners to ensure a coordinated response, as well as any challenges and achievements encountered during the implementation of these activities.
HIGHLIGHTS
- On November 18th, the National Migration Service (SERMIG), together with the Undersecretariat of Labor, UNHCR, IOM, and ILO, organized the "Meeting on Human Mobility and Decent Work: Challenges and Opportunities for Hiring Migrant Workers in Chile." The event highlighted best practices and procedures for hiring workers in situations of mobility.
- On November 21st, the national Protection sector held a workshop on forced displacement, with the participation of partner organizations from the Platform. The activity focused on understanding and analyzing international and national regulations related to access to territory, the asylum system, and other existing mechanisms for international protection.
