Several wildfires continue to burn across central Chile, in particular Valparaiso, O'Higgins and Santiago Metropolitan Regions since 6 December, causing population evacuation and damage. As of 11 December, according to the National System for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Attention (SENAPRED) and the National Forest Corporation (CONAF), there are currently four active major wildfires across the aforementioned three regions. The total burnt area since the beginning of the events is more than 2,800 ha.

SENAPRED reports, as of the same date, seven injured people across the Valparaiso Region. In addition, media also report around 375 evacuated people, one destroyed house and 19 damaged houses throughout the same region.

A red alert for wildfire activity is still in effect for some municipalities in Valparaiso and O'Higgins Regions.

Over the next 24 hours, according to the JRC Global Wildfire Information System (GWIS), the fire danger forecast is from high to extreme over central Chile, including the already affected regions.
