The influx of Sudanese refugees into Chad continues

Chad is facing an increase in population movements from Sudan, a direct consequence of recent violent clashes reported in El Fasher, particularly in the Zamzam IDP camp and along the El Fasher–Tawila axis. This increase in new arrivals is primarily linked to the escalation of violence in the Darfur region, where clashes between rival armed groups are increasing, but also to ongoing instability in other parts of the country.
