  • The Protection Cluster urges the CAR Transition Government to ensure the protection of civilians.

  • An estimated 5,000 new IDPs in Bangui and about 2,000 in the Ouham-Pendé province.

  • The number of children associated with armed forces and groups is estimated at 3,500.

  • UNICEF launches a “Back to School” campaign.

  • The third round of the integrated vaccination campaign is scheduled for 23 September.

  • The Consolidated Appeal remains lowly funded, at 35 per cent.
