Context
The civilian population continues to be victim of tensions and armed violence in the Central African Republic. In June 2023, humanitarian personnel and assets were affected by 13 incidents, compared with 19 recorded the previous month.
The month's incidents included the kidnapping of an NGO staff member in Ouham-Pendé, the theft of an NGO rental vehicle in Am-Dafock and four roadside robberies against humanitarian teams travelling.

A new area of concern is the subprefecture of Obo (12 incidents), which is the scene of recent hostilities between armed groups.
