In February 2026, seven incidents affected humanitarian workers, compared with eight in January 2026, representing a slight decrease of 12.5 per cent and continuing the downward trend observed since December 2025.
The majority of incidents (57 per cent) were criminal in nature, namely two armed robberies, one theft and one incident of physical aggression. The second half of the month was characterized by incidents of restriction and interference: two incidents of harassment during document checks in Bangui, and one restriction of movement reported in Zemio.
International NGOs and UN agencies were the most affected (three incidents each), and one incident affected a national NGO.
Since the beginning of the year, Bangui and Haut-Mbomou have been the most affected prefectures, with seven and three incidents respectively. Other prefectures with one incident each include Bamingui-Bangoran, Haute-Kotto, Nana-Mambéré, Ouham and Ouham-Pendé.
